Design with a purpose - There are a lot of companies out there that offer graphic design services, most of which charge a pretty penny for things you may not understand or need. Marketing firms do have their place in this industry but they do not hold a monopoly on creative thinking. "Graphic Designers" are growing on trees, or rather in the den of anyone with a home computer. Understand this, there is more to design than clipart, but not everyone has $10k or more to drop on a company logo or brand.
That is where I compete... in between the two.
